Teal Energy is here to help your business thrive! Managing your natural gas cost is not an easy task to perform. It is confusing, extremely volatile and difficult to understand and succeed. Teal Energy is here to simplify all that.

Our principal Erika Abrahao BComm, MBA has over 17 years of experience in the natural gas industry as well as an additional 16 years experience in corporate sales throughout various industries including maritime, telecommunications, and IT. She provides an honest and sustainable approach in her dealings. She has a remarkable ability to make the complex simple and a can-do attitude to get things done. Her inborn ability to see through the obstacles in front of customers helps develop responsive strategies and solutions that actually work to improve their costs and mitigate price volatility.

Over these 17 years, Erika worked for several suppliers and acquired extensive experience in hedging and risk management strategies. She has an extensive network in North America including LDCs, pipelines, producers, and aggregators which enhances her ability to successfully procure the very best for her clients. She has represented the interests of key clients across every consumer class in North America including BC Ferries, Seaspan, Costco, Loblaws, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Cadillac Fairview, Translink, and Boardwalk Reit to name a few.

Outside of work, Erika has a passion for skiing. She spends most of her free time with her husband and 3 boys skiing in Whistler.

I met Erika in the spring of 2021 as she was recommended by a business colleague of mine. She came over to visit our sites. Based on discussions with Erika we decided to hedge our natural gas and move away from buying directly through Fortis. This also allowed us to change rate classes from Rate 7 to Rate 22 and save on transportation. Subsequently the Fortis rates have increased, and we are saving significant costs. She took care of everything and fixed our price in May-21 to start in Nov-21. Erika knows the business well and she provided invaluable assistance on the matter of contracting and procuring natural gas for our company.
